Bruce has worked in Sales Manager and Regional VP of Sales for several Construction Supply business. Products include HDPE plastic pipe products and precast Concrete Bridge Products as Bridge Manager for the Western US. Bruce has founded 4 startup companies and holds a BA in Agricultural Engineering from Ohio State University.

Cheryl has been Vice President of Sales since 1995 for two International Food Companies. She oversees a team of internal sales managers and commissioned Food Brokers placing product in Retail Food Stores, Box Stores and Food Service throughout The US, Canadian and Central and South American markets. She is responsible for $65-120 Million in sales with each company.
Ivy Rose Hutton
Founder, Creative Director
Born in Seattle to a bohemian musician and avid “junk” collector, raised in Arizona and a true New Yorker at heart, Ivy created the Pech Merle brand with Bruce & Cheryl in 2009. After 15 years as a successful executive in financial services, she chose wine country over the corner office and has been our creative muse ever since. When she isn’t globetrotting about and finding inspiration around every turn, she keeps busy bossing Bruce around. Fittingly so, her namesake, the Ivy Rosé de Syrah is one of our most popular and acclaimed wines.
John Pepe began his winemaking career by graduating from the SRJC Viticulture program (AS Viticulture) in 1980 and soon becoming an apprentice vineyard manager. After three years in the vineyard growing wine grapes John decided it was winemaking he was most interested in having gravitated to the wine production end of the business and by being a wine lover for many years. Thus he embarked on his wine production journey working in the cellar and mentoring under numerous great winemakers.
Today, as a professional with over 37 vintages under his belt, John has held winemaking and management positions in a collection of California’s largest and most successful wineries including Kendall-Jackson and Beringer Vineyards, as well as small ultra-premium boutique producers Stonestreet, Pat Paulson Vineyards and The Lyeth Estate. Clearly his viticulture background has served him well, as great wines can only come from great grapes grown with great care in the very best Sonoma County locations.
John continues this legacy of superior winemaking for Pech Merle with the 2017 vintage, ushering in a 10th year of award winning wines and the great taste of Pech Merles’ impressive lineup of varietals.
